I have been coming to this place for at least 10 years & the quality of the food is phenomenal while the service is exceptional. My go-to here is the Huevos Rancheros. What I’ve realized is that I am obsessed with the ranchero sauce (that they make in house). Basically, anything that comes with it is delicious. It’s very well balanced but has a nice spice kick to it that is not underwhelming or over the top. Order a side of it and pour it over your omelet or burrito to get a taste of it. You won’t regret it! I also love their coffee & burritos and pancakes. When I have some room, I like to get a side of their freshly baked loaf of the day (recently it’s been the chocolate banana bread. It’s divine!) I love the staff who are so attentive & friendly. And the outdoor patio is dog-friendly.

I found this place on Yelp and I am so glad I did – I’ve been looking for a new brunch part to go to in the Long Beach area. The food is amazing, you need to get the Chilaquiles Torta -- it will change your life.

The service was excellent and it definitely made my brunch experience that much better. We didn’t have to wait too long for a table – wait was about 25 min for Memorial Day weekend.

You can choose to sit inside or outside. I will say it’s a very cozy atmosphere and a bit tight inside so if it’s a nice day out, I do recommend sitting in their patio area.

The food:

Chilaquiles Torta: Broke my scale – I personally wanted to shake the hand of the person who made it because it was delicious!!

French Toast:10/10 Classic French toast and the syrup came in a little log cabin shaped glass container, so cute!

Spicy Mexican Omelette: 8/10 great taste, wish it was a tad bit spicier to live up to its name

Overall, great experience and I can’t wait to come back!

First off the location here is awesome - very close to Memorial Care Hospital. Breakfast bowls are amazing and delicious! It’s enough to fill you up and wanting to eat more of it. The coffee here is always 10/10.

Service beyond what you expect. I called ahead knowing I had a 21 month old and they told me 15 minutes. As soon as I got there the food was ready for pick up. I did not catch the hostess name but she was very caring and her hospitality is beyond. They were able to help me put the food in my vehicle while I had my daughter in my arms.

This means soo much because I have a wife recovering from postpartum and 24 month old in the NICU. The customer service, drink, was everything to us! Thank you Blackbird.

Also! Great vibes LGBT friendly!
